Project Progress

BEHOLD

  • The northeast painting represents fire. Fire for me represents life. Flames are such a curious phenomenon because they are born, they live, they breathe oxygen, and then they die. All time spent on this planet should be cherished and spent wisely.
  • The north painting represents passion. I do have a great passion for art and life in general. I have visions that I want to share with everyone. Art school is so much harder than I ever expected it to be but without my love and passion for art, I never could have made it this far.
  • The northwest painting represents wind. Wind is mysterious and brings change. Change can be a very scary thing, and you can either fight it or embrace it. This experience at school has been a journey of self improvement, and I'm embracing that wind.
  • The west painting represents serenity and calmness. Go with the flow, or so the saying says. As a naturally nervous person, achieving a state of balance and calm is a bit of a stretch, but I'm getting there.
  • The southwest painting represents water. Water is unpredictable and ever changing, not unlike my mind. if I can just manage to stay afloat during the typhoons, I'll be just fine.
  • The south painting represents personal growth. It's a neverending quest of self improvement for me. I like to think that my art and myself as a person have come a long way on this crazy journey of life.
  • The southeast painting represents earth. My solidity, my roots. My comfort zone. It's good to have a solid foundation, but i need to expand and grow away from it. I need to branch out. Scary as it may seem, i need to leave my comfort zone and explore what lies beyond it.
  • The east painting represents creativity. Mine is a little strange, and sometimes I don't know where exactly it plans on taking me. Maybe it's best to just sit back and enjoy the ride.
  • The center painting is me. The sun, the center of it all. all these elements revolve around me and flow into me, creating something. I want to share that something with everybody, no matter what that something turns out to be.
