More Painful Progress

This is the horribly painful part of the process. Building those 3-d skeletons is a bitch. My arm is killing me. I got halfway through building the fire one when my glue gun decided that it was finished working and refused to make glue, no matter how hard I forced the glue stick down its throat. I've painted the backround colors of all the canvasses and nailed the thing together. It's just easier that way. I've decided to use the old paintings from the last project for the north south east and west paintings because I'm realizing just how long this thing will take to complete. That and they look cool. I'm going to add texture to them and repaint parts of them to make them not suck QUITE as much. Once I finish putting the 3-d elements together, they're going to be wrapped in neato papers and stuffs like mosiac tiles and goo that hardens to create texture. At this point, I have NO idea how it's going to turn out. I guess I prefer it that way. Then, the finished product is always a suprise.

Progress

WHEW. This is a little more complicated than I expected. Planning took a LONG time, but I'm finally starting to put all the pieces together. I have all my designs mapped out, the canvasses measured, and all of my supplies bought and at my fingertips. I still need to cut out the shapes for the 3-d pieces and assemble them. After that's done, I need to attach any textured paper I want and paint them. After that I get to stick on the mosiac tiles, which I'm looking forward to. Finally, I need to stick the clock pieces in place and nail the whole thing together. By next week, I plan to have the skeleton done, which could be a little hellish, but painting the whole thing will be fun. The thought of the amazing mess I shall create is keeping me going.
